UV Absorber UV-329

Short Description:

UV- 329 is a unique photo stabilizer that is effective in a variety of polymeric systems: particularly in polyesters, polyvinyl chlorides, styrenics, acrylics, polycarbonates, and polyvinyl butyal. UV- 329 is especially noted for its broad range UV absorption, low color, low volatility, and excellent solubility. Typical end-uses include molding, sheet, and glazing materials for window lighting, sign, marine and auto applications. Specialty applications for UV- 5411 include coatings (particularly themosets where low volatility is a concern), photo products, sealants, and elastomeric materials.

Usage

1. Unsaturated Polyester : 0.2-0.5wt% based on polymer weight
2. PVC:
Rigid PVC : 0.2-0.5wt% based on polymer weight
Plasticized PVC : 0.1-0.3wt% based on polymer weight
3. Polyurethane : 0.2-1.0wt% based on polymer weight
4. Polyamide : 0.2-0.5wt% based on polymer weight
